Sunday, April 13, 2025 – Tromsø (Norway) The final Individual race of the 2024/25 ISMF World Cup season took place today in Tromsø under truly Arctic conditions. Thanks to the work carried out in the previous hours, the LOC and ISMF teams were able to secure and deliver the race.
Women’s Race – Axelle Gachet Mollaret seals a flawless season

France’s Axelle Gachet Mollaret confirmed her unmatched dominance in the Individual discipline by taking yet another victory. Teammate Emily Harrop followed in second place after a very strong performance. From the very start, the French duo set the pace and never relinquished their positions.
Behind them, a fierce battle unfolded between Spain’s Ana Alonso, Italy’s Alba De Silvestro, Austria’s Johanna Hiemer, and France’s Margot Ravinel. The final downhill proved decisive: while De Silvestro led with Alonso chasing closely behind, the Spaniard crashed in deep powder (apart from a big disappointment, she’s doing fine), allowing Ravinel and Hiemer to move past. De Silvestro managed to hold on to third place, securing the final spot on the podium.
“It was not so easy conditions today because of the wind and low visibility, but it was SkiMo. Sometimes you have sun, sometimes no,” Gachet Mollaret said at the finish.“It’s good training for Trofeo Mezzalama.”

Men’s Race – Bonnet completes a historic sweep

Once again, it was Rémi Bonnet who claimed victory in the Individual race in Tromsø, closing his season with another stunning win. Under fresh snowfall and heavy fog, Bonnet led from the first climb, and although Italy’s Davide Magnini kept the gap relatively tight until the finish, it was not enough to dethrone the man who won every Vertical and Individual race this season, including at the World Championships.
Davide Magnini secured second place, just as he did two years ago in Tromsø. The battle for third was tighter: young Frenchman Anselm Damevin reached the final summit in third place, but Italy’s Matteo Eydallin used his experience and strong downhill skills to catch and overtake him, finishing in third, after a great comeback in the last part of the race. It is worth noting that France’s Thibault Anselmet was not at the start today due to illness, having already secured the Overall World Cup title.
“I think it is one of the first times that someone wins all the races in the World Cup season like I did in the Individual and Vertical, so I’m really proud,” Bonnet said after the race. I think it’s my best season so far. I’ll try again, but I don’t know if the motivation will still be the same. Maybe I’ll focus more on long races like Pierra Menta or Patrouille des Glaciers.”
