Every April, the global sporting community comes together to celebrate Play True Day, an initiative led by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Since its inception in 2014, this day has served as an opportunity to raise awareness among athletes, coaches, fans, and all stakeholders about the importance of competing with integrity.
The theme for the 2025 edition is “It Starts with You” — a powerful reminder that protecting clean sport is a shared responsibility. Whether you are an athlete, a team official, an event organiser or a fan, your choices and actions contribute to a sporting culture rooted in honesty and respect.
The ISMF proudly joins this global campaign, reaffirming its commitment to clean sport. We encourage the ski mountaineering community to take part in the conversation online by sharing messages, photos, and videos using the hashtags #PlayTrue, #PlaySafe, and #PlayTrueDay.
About Play True Day
Play True Day was first established following a WADA education conference in 2013 and has grown from a regional initiative in South America into a global movement. In 2024, the campaign celebrated its 10th anniversary, with participants from over 100 countries and 50 organisations contributing to the message, generating hundreds of millions of social media impressions worldwide.
